UMW faculty, staff and students will observe Arbor Day with a brief ceremony and tree planting followed by a service project with Tree Fredericksburg. Faculty are invited to come and learn about the history of the more than 200-year-old Brompton Oak and plant new trees with Tree Fredericksburg. Meet at Brompton at 12:30 p.m. Transportation will be provided to the service project site following the brief ceremony. This event is part of a larger initiative by the PCS to gain Tree Campus Designation from the Arbor Day Foundation.
