{"id":124866,"date":"2016-08-17T13:24:26","date_gmt":"2016-08-17T17:24:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/umweagleeye.wpengine.com\/?p=124866"},"modified":"2016-08-17T13:24:26","modified_gmt":"2016-08-17T17:24:26","slug":"gray-authors-article-metrics","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/webarchive.umw.edu\/eagleeye\/2016\/08\/17\/gray-authors-article-metrics\/","title":{"rendered":"Gray Authors Article on Metrics"},"content":{"rendered":"<?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><p>Edward Gray, systems integration and support specialist in UMW&rsquo;s IT Support Services, has written an article titled &ldquo;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.thinkhdi.com\/library\/supportworld\/2016\/measuring-success-introduction-metrics.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">Measuring Success: An Introduction to Metrics<\/a>&rdquo; for HDI&rsquo;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thinkhdi.com\/library\/supportworld\" target=\"_blank\"><em>SupportWorld<\/em><\/a> online publication.&nbsp; The article is based on a <a href=\"http:\/\/umweagleeye.wpengine.com\/2016\/04\/28\/gray-presents-hdi-dc-chapter-metrics\/\" target=\"_blank\">presentation Gray gave<\/a> at the HDI Capital Area local chapter meeting in April and that <a href=\"http:\/\/umweagleeye.wpengine.com\/2016\/05\/12\/gray-present-national-conference\/\" target=\"_blank\">he will present<\/a> at the Service Management FUSION conference in early November. The article and presentation provide foundational knowledge on the topic of metrics, their definition, selection and use.<\/p><p>Gray has been at UMW for more than 15 years, serving in various IT roles.&nbsp; He earned a master of science degree in Management Information Systems from UMW in 2010.&nbsp; He was a participant in the inaugural cohort of Leadership UMW.&nbsp; He has also earned several technical and management best practice certifications.
