Take care of yourself and be a UMW flu fighter<\/strong><\/p>

It’s that time of year again, and the University Health Center is hosting a free flu shot clinic<\/strong> Friday, Oct. 7,<\/span> from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m<\/strong>. While there isn’t a nationwide shortage of vaccine this year, UMW has a limited number of vaccinations available. Flu shots will be available for students, faculty and staff free of charge on a first come first served basis. If you have questions about the flu shot clinic, please contact the University Health Center at extension 1040.<\/p>

THANK YOU to all who attended the Community Engagement Forums. Your input is valuable! Forum Notes<\/a> have been posted. Please take a moment to review the notes and leave comments<\/strong>. The engagement committee<\/a> will follow up with the Cabinet within the next few weeks to share insight and perspective from the forums.<\/p>

Food Drive
\n<\/strong>SAC is collecting non-perishable food items through Friday, Dec. 16<\/strong>. Donations will benefit the Fredericksburg Area Food Bank. If you’re interested in having a donation collection box in your area, please contact SAC Activities<\/a>.<\/p>

Fall Employment Luncheon and Awards<\/strong><\/p>

Our annual Fall employee luncheon is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 18,<\/strong> at 11:30 in the University Center’s Chandler Ballroom<\/strong>. Join your co-workers and friends for lunch, fun and fellowship. Charles Coleman and Larry Atkins award winners will be announced. Everyone will have a chance to win prizes. Bring your EagleOne ID card to enter the luncheon and be entered to win a gift card.<\/p>
