Last year&rsquo;s drive&nbsp;brought in 8,278 pounds of food&nbsp;for distribution to area residents and helped our UMW athletes win their conference food drive competition.<\/p><p>SAC is conducting&nbsp;the annual &ldquo;One Can Hope&rdquo; campus food drive campaign until December 16, but all the food they collect November 2-10 will count toward this joint Stop Hunger food drive effort.<\/p><p>UMW athletes are collecting donations at the Eagle Village Giant 9-10 a.m. and 5-6 p.m. November 2-5 and 7-9.&nbsp;They are also accepting EagleOne monetary donations at the Top of the UC between 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. November 3, 4, 7, &amp; 8.&nbsp;Donation bins can be found in all campus dining facilities, the UMW bookstore, Goolrick, Jepson, Combs, Melchers, Mercer and&nbsp;other campus locations.&nbsp; For additional information contact Rose Benedict, rbenedic@umw.edu.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Campus Dining, UMW athletes, and the Staff Advisory Council (SAC)&nbsp;are joining forces to collect food for the Fredericksburg Regional Food Bank as part of Sodexo&rsquo;s annual Stop Hunger campaign.
