Coffee with the President: <\/strong>President Troy Paino will hold his first “Coffee with the President” next Thursday, Feb. 23, from 4 to 5 p.m. in the Hurley Convergence Center Digital Auditorium.  This is a great opportunity to stop by to share your thoughts and ideas about the University.<\/p>

UMW Shred Event 2017: <\/strong>UMW Landscape and Grounds is hosting the UMW RecycleMania Shred Event again this year. Confidential documents for shredding will be collected on Feb. 28, 2017. UMW to Hold 24-Hour Giving Day: <\/strong>UMW will hold its first giving day on Tuesday, March 14, a significant day in the University’s history as it marks 109 years since its founding in 1908 as the State Normal and Industrial School for Women.  During Mary Wash Giving Day on March 14, donors can make gifts at mwgivingday.com<\/strong><\/a> from midnight through 11:59 p.m. Gifts received during this time will celebrate the UMW spirit of giving back and help fill the gap—since funding from the commonwealth of Virginia accounts for just 25% of the University’s operating budget.<\/p>
