Specifically, employees with high levels of physical and emotional well-being are shown to be more productive and positive while experiencing lower stress levels and fewer missed days of work.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Beginning Fall 2018,&nbsp;The President&rsquo;s Council on Wellness will launch the UMW Wellness Champion program. Currently, we are looking for one employee per area to serve as a Wellness Champion. <\/b><\/span><\/p><p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">This person&rsquo;s role will be:<\/span><\/p><ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li1\"><b><\/b><span class=\"s1\"><b>Communication<\/b>&nbsp;of wellness related information&nbsp;within their areas<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\"><b><\/b><span class=\"s1\"><b>Providing feedback<\/b>&nbsp;to President&rsquo;s Council on Wellness<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul><p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Commitments:<\/span><\/p><ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li1\"><span class=\"s1\">2 Wellness Champion meetings per semester<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul><ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li1\"><span class=\"s1\">Two representatives from this group will attend the monthly council meeting<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul><p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s3\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.shrm.org\/resourcesandtools\/hr-topics\/benefits\/pages\/wellness-champion-networks.aspx\">Top Wellness Champion<\/a><\/span><span class=\"s2\"> candidates are:<\/span><\/p><ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li1\"><b><\/b><span class=\"s1\"><b>Passionate &ndash;&nbsp;<\/b>Employees who aspire to be champions and have enthusiasm for enhancing the culture of health at their workplace.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\"><b><\/b><span class=\"s1\"><b>Social skills &ndash;&nbsp;<\/b>Employees who naturally make connections with and show compassion for their co-workers.
